Just as our favorite lab species are so thoroughly studied that they are now being “uploaded” to silicon, the widely studied zebrafish (Danio rerio) is being digitized. This winter researchers at NYU [Tandon] report on a very advanced robot zebrafish, which is very literally “biomimetic”—a detailed 3D animatronic fish.
