Company hit with violations after Brooklyn boom truck crash
A construction accident on February 18 left two men injured in Brooklyn. City officials say a boom truck tipped over, the crane striking the men's vehicle. “You’re not supposed to hoist any, what we call ‘load’...any weight over a person or an occupied space unless there’s enough protection. So by them hoisting over a car or a bus, that was inappropriate,” said Peter Amato, President of Site Safety who serves as an adjunct professor in NYU Tandon’s Civil and Urban Engineering Department.
