FRE Careers Technical Interview Mentorship Program

The FRE Technical Interview Mentorship (TIMs) program provides FRE students with one-on-one access to accomplished industry professionals within our alumni network to help our MSFE students meet their career goals. The program offers one-on-one technical mock interviews and technical/industry advice meetings.


Kanwal Avitabile

Kanwal AvitabileKanwal Avitabile leads the data efforts at Mane Global Capital Management. From building infrastructure and pipelines for alternative and risk data to front end applications to consume data with respect to internal KPIs to analyzing data for theses or questions about market or stock scenarios. Before joining Mane Global, Kanwal worked at 7 Park Data, an alternative data aggregator, building products for buy side.


Roujia Chen

Roujia ChenRoujia Chen is currently a desk quant at Barclays focusing on securitized products, where she maintained and enhanced the pricing library for agency residential MBS. Prior to joining Barclays she worked as a quantitative risk analyst at Citigroup. Roujia graduated from NYU Tandon MFE program in 2021.


Kaiyu Gu

Kaiyu GuKaiyu Gu graduated from NYU MFE in 2024 and is now working at Volant Trading as a quantitative trader, being exposed to equities markets and products including cash equities, Delta One products, futures, as well as options. Her daily routine covers the full lifecycle of trading, from generating trading ideas, looking for model factors, developing and validating new strategies, and eventually coming down to production and live trading. Prior to joining Volant, she interned at Belvedere Trading as a rates quantitative trader and at CICC as a commodity trading analyst.


Raymond Luo

Raymond LuoRaymond Luo is a 2022 NYU Alum of the NYU Tandon Financial Engineering program. He is currently a quantitative researcher at BNP Paribas for Equity Financing and Prime Brokerage and was a summer intern the summer before his start. He currently specializes in developing the margin and risk engine for Prime Brokerage at the bank. Outside of his responsibilities at work, he has an avid interest in options pricing theory and market microstructures in electronic markets.


Wenhan Sun

Wenhan SunWenhan Sun graduated from NYU MSFE in 2019 and is now working at Citadel Securities as a risk analyst. His daily routine covers multi-asset market risk management. Before joining Citadel Securities, he was a risk analyst at Intercontinental Exchange. He was responsible for market risk management of commodities and equity products.


Weiyu Wan

Weiyu WanWeiyu Wan is a Quantitative Developer on the ExodusPoint AI team, focusing on LLM (large language model) application and alternative data Infrastructure development. Before his current role, Weiyu was Director of Institutional Trading at BlockFi Inc. Weiyu worked on implementing an E-trading platform and designing execution algorithms for cryptocurrency trading. Before joining BlockFi inc, Weiyu worked as a Quantitative Analytics Developer at Barclays.

Weiyu received an MS in Financial Engineering from NYU Tandon School of Engineering and an MS in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology
